Word-Game Anagrams: Count Repeated Letters Before Guessing

An anagram rearranges a set of letters without inventing extras. In a word game, check both the dictionary language and how many times each letter may be used.

Repeated letters are separate resources

The letters in LETTER contain two Es and two Ts. TREE can be formed from part of that set, leaving L and T, but TREAT cannot because there is no A. A strict anagram of the whole set must use every letter; some games accept shorter words instead. In a swipe grid, even a valid letter count may fail if the required cells cannot be connected under the movement rules.

Try the steps

  1. List duplicate letters and check the required word length before trying combinations.
  2. Group likely starts and endings, then verify each candidate against the available counts.
  3. For a grid, trace a legal cell path as a separate check before submitting.

Does a valid anagram have to be accepted by the game?

No. Its dictionary may exclude a word, and a level may require a particular answer or length. Read the rules rather than treating rejection as a spelling verdict. This is a method for testing candidates, not a list of guaranteed answers for every word game.
