How to Play Penguin Slide

Swipe in any of the four cardinal directions — up, down, left, or right — to send your penguin sliding across the ice. On desktop, use the arrow keys or WASD instead. Once launched, the penguin glides in that direction until something blocks its path: a wall at the edge of the grid, a rock formation, a snow patch, or another obstacle. The penguin stops immediately upon contact, and from that new position you choose your next slide direction. The goal is to slide the penguin onto the flag tile, which is always marked clearly on the grid. Early levels have simple layouts where two or three slides reach the goal, but advanced puzzles introduce winding corridors, one-way ice currents, cracked ice that breaks after one pass, and teleport tiles that warp your penguin to another location. Before making your first move, scan the entire grid to identify where the penguin will stop for each possible slide direction. Work backward from the goal flag — determine which positions could reach the flag in one slide, then figure out which positions reach those intermediate stops. This backward-planning approach is far more effective than trial and error. Some levels feature multiple penguins that must all reach separate flags. In these stages, the order in which you move each penguin matters because one penguin can serve as a wall to stop another. Minimum-move targets are displayed for each level, challenging perfectionists to find the optimal solution. The undo button lets you step back one move at a time if you slide into a dead end.
