How to Play Solitaire
Your goal in Solitaire is to move all 52 cards onto the four foundation piles, one per suit, stacked in order from Ace up to King. The playing field consists of seven tableau columns with cards dealt in an overlapping pattern — only the top card of each column is face-up initially. Click or drag face-up cards to move them between columns. Cards must be placed in descending order and alternating colors on the tableau, so a red 6 goes on a black 7. When you move a face-up card and reveal a face-down card beneath it, click to flip it over. Empty tableau columns can only be filled with a King or a sequence starting with a King. The stock pile sits in the upper-left corner — click it to draw cards when you cannot make any moves on the tableau. Drawn cards go to the waste pile, and you can play the top waste card onto the tableau or directly onto a foundation. When you spot an Ace, move it to a foundation immediately, then build on it with the 2, 3, 4, and so on of the same suit. Plan several moves ahead before committing. Sometimes it is better to leave a card on the tableau to uncover hidden cards rather than rushing it to the foundation. If the stock pile runs out, click the empty stock area to recycle the waste pile. Victory is achieved when all four foundations are complete from Ace to King.
