How to Play sporos

Each level presents a grid board and a set of spore tiles in a sidebar. Every spore tile has a distinct color and a spread pattern shown as highlighted cells around its center point. To place a spore, drag it from the sidebar onto any empty cell on the grid. Once placed, the spore visually indicates which cells it will fill when activated. After placing all spores, they expand simultaneously according to their individual patterns. The level is complete when every cell on the grid is covered by exactly one spore's expansion. If any cell remains empty or two spores overlap on the same cell, the placement is incorrect and you need to rearrange. Begin each puzzle by examining every spore's pattern carefully. Identify spores with unique shapes that can only fit in specific grid positions — these are your anchor points. Place these constrained spores first, then work outward to fill the remaining gaps. Pay attention to corner and edge cells, as fewer spores can reach these areas, making their placement more deterministic. On larger grids, break the board into sections and solve each section by identifying which spores must serve that area. When multiple valid placements seem possible, consider how each option affects neighboring regions. Some spores have asymmetric patterns, so orientation matters — rotate them mentally to test all possibilities.
